Trade Show Banner Design
Trade Show Banner for InMR Measure at LambEx 2026
Trade Show Poster
Contract work resulting in a high-level marketing banner for a New Zealand startup: InMR Measure - who are developing novel Magnetic Resonance intra-muscular fat measurement technology for the meat industry.
Highlights
- 3D Renders: Rendered industrial hardware with stylised lighting using Blender
- App Render: Rendered the company web app I developed in 3D for design consistency.
- 2D Graphics: Aggregated images in inkscape to create polished layout for banner printing.

Challenges
As a mechanical design engineer, CAD-based rendering tools aren’t quite capable of producing professional-grade renders - a tool like Blender is generally much more powerful - especially for video production and animation.
While it may seem simple on the surface, one of the main challenges of the CAD-Blender workflow is simply getting the models exported correctly, particularly regarding components being exported as individual meshes, including per-vertex normals, and handling the base coordinate systems of each component.
To solve this, I developed an automated workflow in FreeCAD and Blender to bring parts from CAD into Blender in the right format, and with each component with the correct pose in the assembly.
This workflow offers a lot of promise for professional-grade output without much effort, especially for static renders like this. It also opens up opportunities for complex mechanical animations with dynamic camera angles, moving parts, and deformable meshes.
